Your Photo Has a Story.
We Built the Tool That Writes It.
PostHelp was born from a real problem: great photos sitting on phones with no one to write the caption. We fixed that.
You Take Great Photos.
Writing About Them Is the Hard Part.
You know the drill. You finish a job, snap a few photos, and think "I should post this." Then you open Facebook or Google Business Profile, stare at the blank text box, and nothing comes out. Or worse — you type something generic, feel embarrassed, and delete it.
Meanwhile, your competitor two towns over is posting every day and showing up first when someone searches for your trade. Not because they do better work. Because they post about it.
The gap isn't talent or work ethic. It's that turning a photo into a compelling social media post is a different skill entirely — and most people who are great at their job don't have time to learn it.
That's the problem PostHelp solves. You bring the photo. The AI writes the post. You copy it, paste it, and get back to work.
A Folder Full of Photos
and Nothing to Say About Them
PostHelp started when its creator, Ernie St. Gelais, was helping a client with social media. The client — a local service professional — had dozens of great job site photos. But every file was named something like image_203.jpg. No context, no description, no story.
Opening the photos didn't help much either. You could see the work, but writing a caption that would actually make someone stop scrolling? That's a completely different skill. The client knew exactly what was in those photos because he was there — but he couldn't put it into words for a social post, and neither could anyone else looking at the image cold.
That's when the idea clicked: what if AI could look at the photo, understand what it sees, and write the post for you?
The first version was rough — a simple WordPress tool that sent a photo to an AI model and got back a caption. But it worked. The output was good enough that real business owners started using it immediately. A mover tried it and loved it. He said real estate agents would love it too. Then a septic company. Then a salon owner.
It turned out the problem wasn't specific to any one industry. Anyone with a photo and a business had the same frustration: they knew what the photo meant, but they couldn't write about it fast enough to actually post consistently.
So PostHelp grew from a quick experiment into a real product — purpose-built for people who'd rather be working than writing captions.
