What's New, and What to Do When a Post Won't Go Out.

This page covers two things: what is new in PostHelp Calendar, and what to do when a post does not go out the way you expected. The first half is a running changelog. The second half walks through the most common publishing snags and how to fix each one in plain language.

Calendar Changelog

A plain-language record of what has changed in PostHelp Calendar, newest first. No jargon, just what is different and what it means for you.

Publishing Didn't Go Through

If a post did not publish, or something looks off, find the closest match below. Each one tells you what is likely going on and the simple step that fixes it.

My connection expired

Why it happens

Social platforms hand out access tokens that expire over time. When yours lapses, PostHelp can no longer publish on your behalf until it is renewed.

The fix

Reconnect the platform from the brand's connection settings. It takes a moment and puts a fresh connection in place under your own name.

A post is stuck or failed

Why it happens

When publishing hits a snag, PostHelp tries again up to three times. If all three attempts fail, the post is marked failed and you are alerted so it never just disappears.

The fix

Open the post and retry it. If it fails again, check that the platform's connection is still active and reconnect it if needed.

I didn't get my reminder or posted email

Why it happens

These emails go to the reminder email address set on the profile. If that field is blank, they fall back to the email on your account, so a typo or an old address can send them to the wrong place.

The fix

Check and correct the reminder email address on the profile. Once it is right, future reminders and confirmations land where you expect.

My image didn't render or looks wrong

Why it happens

Images are built in the background with guardrails in place to keep them looking right. Once in a while a busy or unusual image trips one of those guardrails.

The fix

Re-render the image, or simplify it a little before trying again. A cleaner image almost always renders cleanly.

Publishing seems delayed

Why it happens

The job that publishes your posts runs on a five-minute cycle. A post scheduled for, say, 9:00 may go out a few minutes after the hour rather than exactly on it.

The fix

Allow a few minutes past the scheduled time before worrying. If it is still not out well after that, check the post and its connection.

My Facebook post went to the wrong Page

Why it happens

When you connect Facebook, you choose which Page the posts publish to. If the wrong Page was picked during that step, posts will keep landing there.

The fix

Reconnect Facebook and pick the correct Page during the connection step. From then on, posts go to the right place.

X isn't publishing

Why it happens

X is an opt-in, pay-per-use platform in PostHelp. It does not publish unless it has been switched on and provisioned for the brand first.

The fix

Confirm that X is enabled and provisioned for the brand. Once it is active, scheduled X posts publish like any other platform.
