You're In. Here's How to Get Your First Post Out the Door.

PostHelp turns a photo or a pasted link into ready-to-paste social posts in under a minute. No scheduling, no posting, just the words. This page walks you through your first profile and your first post.

What PostHelp Does, in Plain Language

You give PostHelp one of two things: a photo from a job site, your phone, or your camera roll, OR a public web page link like a blog post, product page, or contact page. PostHelp reads what you gave it, looks at your profile to know who you are and how you sound, and writes captions tuned for Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

You copy the caption you want and paste it wherever you post. PostHelp does not connect to your social accounts, does not schedule posts, and does not post for you. It writes the words. You stay in control of where and when they go up.

Business or Personal? You Can Have Both.

Every PostHelp account can hold as many profiles as you want, and each profile keeps its own voice, rules, and settings. Pick a type when you create one.

🏢

Business Profile

For your company, your trade, your service business, your storefront, your blog, your eCommerce store. Anything where you post under a brand. Holds business name, services, location, hours, and the voice you want customers to hear.

🏠

Personal Profile

For hobbies, side interests, family pages, racing, gardening, anything that isn't a business. Same tools, same quality, just framed for personal posting instead of customer-facing copy.

Run a plumbing company AND post about your weekend racing? Make two profiles in the same account. Switch between them on the Generate Post screen with the dropdown at the top.

Set Up Your First Profile

Your profile is what makes PostHelp sound like you. Spend a few minutes filling it out the first time and you'll get better captions on every post going forward.

Profile Name

Your business name or, for a personal profile, whatever you want to call this slice of your life. This is just a label so you can tell your profiles apart in the dropdown.

What You Do

The services you offer or, for a personal profile, what this profile is about. Plumbing, custom cabinets, real estate in west Denver, dirt-track racing, Mom-and-me garden videos. The AI uses this to keep posts on-topic.

Voice and Tone

Pick any combination of eight tone pills: friendly, professional, expert, down-to-earth, community-focused, witty, playful, authoritative. Mix as many as fit. "Friendly + Down-to-earth + Community" is a real combination, and it'll sound like that on every post.

Locations Served

The towns, regions, or service area you cover. Helps the AI write posts that show up in local searches and feel like they belong to your community.

Hashtag and Emoji Preferences

Per platform. Google Business Profile is hashtags off by default because Google ignores them. Instagram defaults to 15. LinkedIn 3. Facebook 5. Emojis on for all four. Change any of it in the profile editor.

Default Input Mode

Pick whether the Generate Post screen opens on Photo or Link for this profile. A contractor profile usually defaults to Photo. A blog-writer profile usually defaults to Link. You can switch tabs any time without changing the saved default.

Rules and Guidelines (Optional)

Free-form field for hard rules the AI must follow on every post. Examples: "Always mention 24/7 emergency service." "Always end with a call to action." "Never use the word utilize." Honored on both photo and link posts.

About Description

A short paragraph in your own words about who you are or what this profile is about. The AI reads it on every generation and uses it as background context.

Your First Post in Under a Minute

Photo and link are equal pathways. Pick whichever fits the post you want to make. The flow is the same either way.

1

Upload or Paste

The Generate Post screen has two tabs at the top.

📸 Photo Upload a photo from your phone or computer. Add a quick note if you want to point the AI at something specific in the image.
🔗 Link Paste any public URL. PostHelp fetches and reads the page server-side. Add a note if you want to steer the angle.
2

Generate

Pick the platforms you want captions for. Click Generate. PostHelp reads the photo or the page, looks at your profile, and writes a caption for each platform tuned to that platform's style.

Each platform you generate for counts as one generation. Three platforms equals three generations.

3

Copy, Paste, Post

Each caption has its own Copy button. Click it, switch to the platform you want to post to, and paste. You're done.

If you want to keep a caption for later or feed your voice over time, click Save. Saved posts get reused by the AI to learn how you write.

If You Can Tick These Four, You're Up and Running

Work through them in order. Whole thing should take under five minutes the first time.

  • Profile filled in: name, what you do, tone pills picked, default input mode set.
  • First photo uploaded OR first link pasted on the Generate Post screen.
  • First caption generated for at least one platform.
  • Caption copied and posted to one platform. That's your first PostHelp post.
